Multi-cereals beer

In the past, table beer was commonplace on family tables.

This is actually not as strange as it sounds. Table beer contains vitamins and fewer calories than the majority of soft drinks. Furthermore a table beer can be very flavoursome and its low alcohol is in its favour.

’Maltosa’ is a brown table beer that contains just 1.2% alcohol.

33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a small redish glare and fully diminished tan head. Roasted to breadish malt aroma. Sweet, breadish and caramelish. Simple, watery and caramelish/breadish. Ends mild citric to breadish.

(Bottle 75 cl) 1,4% ABV in my version. Deep brown colour with a red glow. Tall cola-like head that bubbles away in no time. Saccharine added, but actually this only has a discreet sweetness making it both quenching and easy to drink. Only problem is, that it really hasn’t got much flavour at all. 020802

(Bottle 25 cl) A childrens beer - considering the label! Dark table beer with a fine, brownish head. Very light-bodied, but luckily this is sweetened with sugar and not saccharine. Very easy to drink with lovely roasted malts and a vague hint of hops. 060601

Clear brown color, short brown head. Aroma of some faint roasted malts, bit chocolat. Taste is just sweet brown sugar diluted in water. Horrible.

Fully opaque black; diminishing dark brown head. Very sweet nose, "Traubenzucker", bit of chocolate. Very sweet taste, again "Traubenzucker" and lactose. Completely empty mouthfeel, aftertaste is like coloured water. Oh well, somebody has tried.
