American Pale Ale with Calypso and Mosaic hops. Made by Doug Pominville.

Our Grunion Pale Ale wasn’t born on a beach, but in a backyard. Originating from an employee-only home brew contest, this award-winning hoppy pale ale is named after the tiny local fish known for late night frolics on shore. A pair of new hop varieties lend strong yet balanced summer melon aromas and herbal flavors, while a soft caramel malt sweetness holds it all together.

(Draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm, 4 Sep 2015) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, tropical fruit, tea and slightly grainy malt. Malty, fruity taste with notes of citrus, resin, crystal malt, slightly metallic with a balanced citric, resiny bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Fresh, tasty and well made pale ale. Nice one.

Can. Clear rich gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and with a trailing carbonated nip. Very light malts, touch of sweetness. Hops are a fabulous mix of mango and tangerine with a good dose of hop spice to boot! Whisper of skunk. Light crisp finish. Hop spice lingers on. A real surprise this one, fabulous and sunk in a few mins.

Can from BottleDog, Edinburgh. Hazy golden/amber body with a medium off-white head. Lively carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, green pepper, watermelon and freshly opened hop bag. Flavour of bitter grapefruit, orange and stainless steel. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Delicious. Tastes more bitter than the 35 IBUs suggest.

Bottle. Orange, pineapple, malt, and earthy grapefruit peel aroma. Golden yellow with large off white head. Lightly sweet orange malt and moderately strong earthy grapefruit peel flavor. Nice body. Extra point for its "Beverly Hillbillies" reference (kind of).
