Keg at The Rusty Bucket, Eltham. Copper coloured pour with a white head. Toffee, orchard fruit aromas. Similar approach in the taste, spot of red fruit. Malty bittersweet finish.

I have a 12 oz can purchased fairly recently at the closest HEB. Unfortunately the canning date was a long time back. We shall see how this goes. Pouring into my ABGB tulip I see a dark gold-amber body with a head of very light tan foam. The nose is full with hops, dark fruit and grain. A drink, well, not bad but not as rich as the color and the smell promised. Wood, malt, a touch of grapefruit, earth and a bare bit of caramel. It is curiously similar to an amber ale as much as I can tell. An all right beer for a one and done.

Keg at the Cock T. Almost clear amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is airy and fairly dry with decent fine carbonation. Fluffy dry malts, a little cream but quite a bit of unsweet caramel. Hops are bitter floral with overripe citric peel underneath. Dry finish. There is nothing wrong with this beer but it is just about everything I detest about the West Coast style delivered in a single package. Dry, caramelly, bitter floral and overripe fruits. Bleh!

Keg at Red Hand - Dalston. Pours crystal clear honey-gold with a tight, creamy white topping. Light to medium sweet with notes of toasted malts, ample bitter grass and pine, citrus peel accents, a hint of dry caramel. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Resinous finish, quite dry, more sun-kissed malts, sturdy bitterness. Classic IPA.

Tap. Heist. Clear amber. Decent white foam. Nose has caramel and bread crust. Hops are herbal and piny. Sweet to start with a pithy bitterness. Easy drinking enough old school affair.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy orange with small white head that lasts. The aroma is citrus and pine. Medium body, juicy, grapefruit, pine, dank, lingering bitterness, very nice.
