A Totally Nebular IPA. Great Western premium two-row, combined with c-15 and Dextri-Pils, give this beer a bright and galactic Milky Way hue. The hopping is pure starglow energy, with Chinook to bitter and late and dry additions of Citra and Amarillo.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has an earthy onion with bitter citrus and light grapefruit joining as well as a touch of light grain underlying. Flavor has a really nice citrus note with some earthy grapefruit, a hint of onion and light grains backing.

Bottle. Orange caramel malt and grapefruit peel aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Moderately sweet orange caramel malt and moderately strong grapefruit peel flavor - great. Nice balance and body. I really like this - one of the few I2PAs that I want more than a half pint of.

Bottle: Pours cloudy, yellow-orange with a moderate white head. Tangerine, lemon, pineapple aroma. Taste is nectary orange malt, tropical fruit. Strong orange-peel, resin bitter. Malty, fruit-forward.......delicious.

Draft pour at The Taste of DC event in Washington DC. Poured a nice golden orange color with a fluffy white head. Aroma was lots of citrus, pine resin. Flavor was nice hop notes - tasty balanced malt character too. Pineapple? Mango? Really good.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 8/8/2016. Pours fairly crystal clear golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice thick soapy lacing clings around the glass. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, passion fruit, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, light honey, lightly toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of bright citrus/tropical/pine hops and light-moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, passion fruit, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, light honey, lightly toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Large amount of pine/citrus rind/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, passion fruit, berry, citrus rind, pepper, pine, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical/pine hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and minimal lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp/sticky/resinous, and lightly creamy/grainy balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Minimal warming alcohol for 8.2%. Overall this is an excellent DIPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical/pine hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink for the ABV. Impressively low malt character/body for the ABV as well. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottled. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of citrus fruit, alcohol, malt, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, caramel, over ripe citrus fruits, and hops, leading to a bitter finish.

A: Clear light gold with a fine layer of foam after the initial pour.

S: Grassy, piney, bit of booze.

T: Grassy with some grapefruit citrus, hints of tropical fruit but maybe not really. Strongish but not as complex as I had hoped for.

M: Medium bodied with the right level of carbonation.

O: Good.

So, had this at the RBSG2016. BO aroma. pale yeller. No co2, flat. Typical fresh terribly on style experience for a mouth coating IPA fer sure. Not impressed with this style, but this is on style. Same old ipa expected long bitter nasty nellie rototiller finish. Can somebody give me a pale lager for a chaser? heheheheh..... What else can be said?
