A Totally Nebular IPA. Great Western premium two-row, combined with c-15 and Dextri-Pils, give this beer a bright and galactic Milky Way hue. The hopping is pure starglow energy, with Chinook to bitter and late and dry additions of Citra and Amarillo.

Bottle drunk in Kentucky. 6 months expired. Yellow light amber, moderate haze. Nectarine apricot nose. Light caramel, very powerful but smooth bitterness, more on the bitter side of balance but still with a decent amount of residual sugar. I can imagine it would be fantastic with fresher hop flavors.

12 oz. bottle, 8.2% ABV, Experience By: 27OCT22
AROMA: Sweet with scents of banana, orange, bread, and malt. The aromas are very pleasant but subtle. You do really need to get your nose close before you can pick up anything other than the orange. As the beer warms, I am able to pick up some minor notes of pine and hops.
APPEARANCE: Pours a lovely clear golden-amber with a white, frothy head that dissipates slowly. Lacing was very good, but only after half the head had completely dissipated. Before that, there was no lacing at all.
TASTE: Initially it is a bit sweet on the tongue, but that is quickly followed by bitter with a touch of sourness in the finish. The predominant flavor is pine resin with a bit of orange. It is somewhat more bitter than the aroma would indicate.
MOUTHFEEL: Medium-bodied, fairly dry, and average carbonation.
OVERALL: For my tastes, the bitterness is too predominant in this beer to to be a winner in my book. Which is too bad because I like just about everything else about the beer (good aroma, nice appearance, etc.). However, I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a huge IPA fan. So I'm sure that there are a ton of others who would appreciate this flavor profile. Although, I am finding that as the beer warms, some of the sweetness is getting amplified and it is helping to tone down the bitterness level. Which makes for a more balanced flavor profile. Perhaps, this is one of those beers that is better at (or near) room temperature, rather than cold.

Can’t believe I never have rated this until now. 12 ounce bottle from Bottle King in Princeton, NJ. Clear orange gold pour. Dense, marshmallowy white head. Aroma is piney hops with a splash of bittersweet grapefruit. Flavor is dank and hoppy out of the gate. Boozy notes with hints of lime pith and black pepper. A classic West Coast IPA.
