Aroma of sweet apples. Very fruity flavor (sweet apples and pear), just a bit grassy. Some hopbitterness. Drinkable, but unexciting beer.

Classic Brunehaut blond since 1992, with hazy peach blonde colour and thick, creamy head; yeasty character, citrus peel touch, peach, dried apricots, a bit bready, dryish with a yeasty, somewhat phenolic (plastic!), thin and grassy hoppy bitterish finish. Did not like this too much.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled 5/2013. Pours hazy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, orange zest, apricot, pear, apple, pepper, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, straw, grass, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon, orange zest, apricot, pear, apple, pepper, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, straw, grass, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, apricot, pear, apple, pepper, cracker, biscuit, light honey, straw, grass, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly prickly/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice Belgian blonde ale. All around good complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
