14/III/15 - 33cl bottle @ Zythos meeting (Lede) - BB: n/a (2015-361)

Little cloudy dark blond beer, creamy off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very smelly, offensive even, horse stable, some grains, cow fodder, vegetables, reminds me of sorghum beer I once had. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, lots of grains, wheat, soft bitterness, sweet and floral touch. Aftertaste: sourish notes (wheat?), grassy, grains, hay. Drinkable, but not loveable alas.

Medium, fine & dense white head as whipped eggwhite; veiled orangeish yellow beer. Bit sweetish nose, malt, also other grains; dusty; silt; dry, old leather; wholemeal cookies; sweet eggcake or -soufflé. More bitter, even bitterish-spicy flavour, but with a light sourish, wheat-like acidity in the finish. Yet enough sweet malt left underneath. Very spritzy, titillating carbonation, enlightening the body. Wheat-like slickness. Not at all bad. The nose needs to get used to. --- Beer merged from original tick of Gilbert Samenwerkingsbier Boekweit on 14 Jun 2020 at 07:30 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 4 | Flavor - 4 | Texture - 5 | Overall - 3.5. Original review text: Small off-white head over finely carbonated orange-golden beer. Nose of leatherwax, phenols, shoepolish. Shoepolish returns as a flavour, rootspices, much phenolic malts. Finish has some marzipan/almonds/bitter almonds. Light to medium bodied; good carbonation. Seriously? Awful. Thanks to Stef for bringing!

Bottle at gollem. Poura clear blonde, small white head. Smell is honey, sweet malty . Taste is malty, boekweit aspect i recognize from seef. Not too much honey. Full sweet bosy, partly from malts. Very bit bitterness. Ok carbo. Unique beer for sure, easy drinkable yet sticky in the back.
