Apple Ale sings with the fresh crisp taste of Wisconsin apples. Our Brewmaster begins with a brown ale base employing Wisconsin farmed barley and a blend of apple varieties grown in Door County. Our apple growing friends squeeze them especially for this brew. Expect this ale to pour a beautiful copper color. The fresh bouquet of apple will rise to meet you even before the glass touches your lips. So be sure to sip slowly and enjoy the fruits of a Wisconsin harvest.

(end of my back log DEC 12, 2013) from a 12 oz bottle. Somebody without a sense of smell could still smell the apple here. Crazy amounts of Apple. Hazy amber complexion with very fleeting head. The flavor is a mix of varieties of apples. Red and green. Very sweet with a touch of tartness, just tart enough not to make it cloying. Funny thing for me it’s more like drinking a cider. Exceptional for a fruit beer. 3.8 % ABV it damn near is fruit juice however, really nice fruit juice at that.

Looks like I’m the last person to rate this beer. Candy orange. Nose is full of apples. just a huge obvious apple pie to the face. Wow. It tastes just like raw apple right off the tree. Sweet, earthy, raw and really out of the way malt profile. This is one of the most perfect fruit beers.

Aroma is almost all apples. It really reminds me of Martinelli’s Apple Cider. Faint maltiness in the background and not quite as sweet. Pours a fairly clear copper orange with a somewhat thin off-white/light tan head that quickly recedes to the edges. Flavor is very similar to the aroma. A light malt note and faint bitterness, but otherwise it is like drinking non alcoholic apple cider. Moderate sweetness but not sticky at all. The apple flavor gets stronger as it lingers on your tongue. Finish is apples and a faint cracker malt note. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation; this is the big difference from apple cider - it has more body to it. Faint astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall its a very interesting beer. Should I even call it a beer? So much apple character with a faint malt presence and a bit more body than regular cider. This isn’t like drinking a beer with some apple character, but instead like drinking apple cider with a hint of malt.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a small creamy off-white head and decent lacing. Aroma is green apple and not much else. Flavor is apple as well, medium sweet and lightly tart. Medium body, low carbonation; nice enough, but why not just make (or drink) a cider?

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear, dark gold with minimal head. Awesome apple aroma. It’s almost like a cider, but not nearly as cloying. Taste is fresh apple, sweet and tart. Not sugary apple juice. Medium bodied with a very very long finish. Overall, I really like this beer. I’m not usually a fan of fruity beer, but this one absolutely rocks.

Bottle courtesy of Atom. Fresh apple cider aroma. Slightly hazy copper with a small white, thick creamy head. Sweet apple malt with a spicy cider bite. Medium body, lively carbonation. Perfect amount of sweetness, cidery, but still manages to come across as beer.
