During a beer weekend for a friend's 50th weekend in San Diego. Scores were recorded at the time but no descriptions.

Todd, mild fresh hops but the beer itself seems kind of off. Besides the fresh hops in the Romans there is wet paper and rotten fruit. Flavors are like nose, bittersweet and oxidized.

Tasting at SF, Vancouver, can; 9% ABV
Golden color, just hazy. Aroma of resiny hops. The malt base has a quite strong caramel character, the hopping is very resiny but it's not bright, there are some vegetable traces. Some alcohol punch.
A good beer, but not what I want in 2017.

Amber. Not much head. Big powdery, leafy nose, maybe some dankiness. Earthy, bitter, touch cheesy, with a light piney herbal hop. Good balance. Nice DIPA.

12 oz can from blipp. Label says Lupulin Lust Double IPA with an ABV of 9%. Aroma is tropical fruit, orange creamsicle. Pours hazy golden with a thick off-white soapy head with great retention and lace. Taste is highly bitter with lots of citrus and tropical fruit flavors. Great DIPA.

Can at Titans. Great hoppy fruit aroma, light gold body, smooth and tasty. Crisp clean bitter and very juicy tropical fruit hoppiness with some dankness in the finish. Great.

On tap at Rip Current, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out dank hops, sweet resinous hop oils and biscuity malt backing. Flavour is dank and herbal in the hop department, with a weird vegetal and medicinal quality to it. Something is not working properly here for me. Decent but off the mark.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear yellow gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is grass and melon. Medium body, grapefruit, pine, light bitterness, very good.
