Pineapple & Mango saison. A slightly spicy character, light effervescence, and the addition of real pineapple & mango juice make this beer perfect for a Michigan summer. Citra hops add to the clean finish.

16 oz can. Pours a slightly hazy light orange/gold with a finger or so of white foam that dies down a bit, but still coats the surface with a quarter inch after the walk up the stairs and logging in. Aromas are heavily fruited... lots of peach-like sweetness that I fear is going to be a bit heavy-handed. First sip reveals that fear is well-placed. It starts out with a nice punch of yeasty saison funk and then turns into a fruity disappointment with a cloying aftertaste. A hint of fruit would have been good. This is a blast of it that covers up any complexities that the beer might have had to offer.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a clearish gold with a finger of white foam that dissipates quickly. Big pineapple and mango aromas on the nose with a touch of Belgian yeast character. More of the same on the palate with the yeast coming out a bit more as it warms and some light peppercorn notes alongside the loud pineapple and mango. Sweet and fruity finish with a nice Belgian yeast note at the end. Not a saison at all, but a nice fruit beer.

Sample at Broad Leaf. Clear yellow-gold color with a medium thin white head that burns away steadily to a film. Short strings of lace. Fruit, yeast, hop and malt aromas. Medium body with flavors of fruity yeast, mild hops and grainy malt. The finish is tropical fruit and yeast. Decent overall.

Pours a clear straw from a can. Sour mash with a nondescript fruitiness, flavor is more fruit forward, tastes a little fakey. Okay beer, not the best.

Can thanks to Rob. Pours a cloudy orange with small white head that lasts. The aroma is strong mango and melon. Slick body, yeast, wheat, mango, orange zest, dry finish, good.

Can. Cloudy pale golden body with a frothy white head. Aroma of pineapple, tropical fruits, toasted grain, light basement. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, syrupy texture, moderate carbonation. Basically, a beer with pineapple juice. Thick mouthfeel (just like pineapple juice) due in part to the modest carbonation. Once you get past the fruit, you're left with a grainy finish.

[9/23/16] Bottle sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2016 in Bodegraven. Day one. Cloudy yellow. Fruity and yeasty aroma. Sweetish flavor with yeast, fruity, with a bit of spiciness and a tart and bitterish note.

Enjoyed on tap while eating some food at Brewery Vivant in Grand Rapids, MI. I didn’t take tasting notes, but remember this being a solid saison, a little more hop forward than others in the style, tropical fruit notes, went well with my food. Good job.
