Deep amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is candysugarish with some wood and sour fruits. Flavour is mostly candysugar and some wood. Quite sweet, but still not too sweet.

Brown, low blanket head. Aroma has Molassis, horseblanket, and a citric fruityness. Sets in with minerally dustyness, unpleasant chemical notes and horseblanket, a sugary sweet caramel note follows all the way through. Falls a bit flat after that - strangely unharmonic. Sparkly mouthfeel. Nutty finish.

Bottle. Brown colour with almost no head. Slightly sweet aroma. Sweet flavor with brown sugar, some hints of sourness. Short aftertaste.

Bottle At Archer Ale House Pours a hazy light brown witha modest but dense head and wispy lacing. Dry and musty aroma. Tart woody and of apples, pears and slightly spicy. Quite dry aftertaste. Very interesting

(Bottle 25 cl) Light brown, no head to speak of. A lot less sweet than other Faros I’ve had. This has a very pronounced, underlying lambic-sourness. Spicy with some citrus, but also apple-notes - and a sophisticated vinegary touch. But actually very balanced and quenching. Stronger than a typical Faro - Frank boon also calls this a "Dubbele Faro". 091197

Bottle Clear, tawny body. Light brown, creamy head, mostly lasting. Nice lace. Sweet, citrus aroma. Lightly bitter flavour.

Dark amber color. Strange aroma, like common vinegar, and a touch of sweetness. Very poor taste, thin, with a bad end. Not sweet at all; too bitter.

A red beer with sediment (even though it is best before 2063) floating around and hints of a fast disappearing head. The aroma is of flowers, lavender, and sugar. The flavor is of sugar and yet sour - but the sourness tastes more like the beer is too old, than that it has been wildfermented - weird. I’d say this was too old.

If you can see through the yeast particles, it’s probably clear orange brown. Aroma of brown sugar, caramel, yeast, raisin-bread. Sweet alcohol and sour sirupy taste, unbalanced. Strange bitter palate.

Garnet red-hazy, full of little flunky bits; thick yellowish head, slowly disappearing. Nose of parsley, "Old Spice" hair oil, greasy, some caramel. Taste again, a mixture of green leaves & herbs and hair oil - the aroma of course, I drink that rarely if ever. Dried pine needles, perfumey - just no syrup. Amazing. Tim Webb thought it thoroughly disgusting. Maybe a bit lightstruck. Thin mouthfeel, ending watery. The hair oil perfume keeps hanging on. Well. Once I thought the earth of Pertotale. Either I changed, either this was one very bad semple. Draught Very perfumy nose, some lemon, some horseblanket, but very obvious caramel/sugar syrup. Sweet, but finishes more acid-filled. Rather slick, sticky.
