Witbier brewed with orange peel and coriander

This traditional Belgian-style white ale refreshes the body and illuminates the spirit. Brewed with malted and unmalted wheat and seasoned with coriander and sweet orange peel, Witte pours hazy, smooth and flavorful, with aromas of citrus and clove.

Crisp and refreshing on its own, it shines brightly alongside lighter fare like salads and appetizers, and serves as a perfect complement to barbecue and spicy dishes.

Enjoy a taste of the sun. Santé!

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear, pale gold with a thin white head. The aroma is lemon peels, grapefruit, cloves and wheat. The flavor is tart and sweet, with only a hint of bitterness. The palate is light and very carbonated, acidic and sticky. The finish is crisp and clean. Overall, too crisp and sweet for a witbier, but pretty good.

Saloon (?) tap ($5): Pours a really pretty hazy yellow with a shiny white head. Aroma is very spicy with a bunch of banana notes. Very carbonated mouthfeel. Lots and lots of citrus. Wheat, well of course. Spicy notes throughout that actually provide this beer with some bite. The quality of beer you would expect from Ommegang. I was not dissapointed (except when the bartender accidentally gave me a Gaffel Kolsch by accident).

12 oz. bottle This stuff is amazing, the scent is complex with wheat, and banana clove notes. starts spicy and finishes smooth with an amazing crisp aftertaste. I would recommend this to anyone even if your not into this style!! High end wheat ale...

This is one of those kinds of beers that I can always get and never have. 12 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a hazy lemon yellow color with a large pillowy head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma of big citrus notes, wet dog and a bit of caramel. The taste is caramel, citrus and a faintly weird flavor. Spices appear in the finish. Medium bodied. Not really a fan of this one.

Hazy pale yellow with golden glimts. Plenty of yeast, wheat and coriander in the nose. Flavor had yeast, wheat, coriander and a touch of orange peel. Finished slightly sweet.

After 2 hours of mountain biking through forest I needed a refreshing beer to replenish calories burned. Due to it being 90degrees out this seemed a very appropriate choice. Pours a hazy orange yellow with nice fluffy white head. the waitress put an orange wedge in it which i threw back in her face (didn’t happenen). taste is of cirtus like orange and bannana (latter not citrus), yeast and some spice. great summer brew and its getting me very excited for BCTC next weekend.

On tap at flying saucer. Pours a cloudy yellow golden with a small frothy white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is yeast and coriander. Medium mouthfeel with a coriander and citrus with a dry finish. A good wit from ommegang.

Tap at Angels and Kings. Pours a hazy, yellow-gold with a fluffy white head. Very wheaty nose, with faint malts, spices, cloves and banana. More wheat and yeast in the flavor, with moderate sweetness. Light to medium in body with lively carbonation. Crisp, smooth and very refreshing. A good Witbier.
