This non-traditional English bitter is light-bodied with a low ABV and rich malt character.
Brewed with lots of Golden Promise and Pale Ale malts with a touch of Oats and light hazy gold in color. Ultra crisp bitterness from Warrior hops, with Glacier hops adding the peach, orange and apricot aroma. We dry-hopped this one because...we like hops.

500mL can, sent from khoffman43 (thanks Kyle), pours a clear dull copper with a medium foamy white head. Aroma of English biscuity malts, lots of floral soapy hops, and some toasted bread crusts. Flavour is quite restrained, with English biscuity malts, some dry floral hops and again the toasted bread crusts - nice and dry, with high sugar attenuation. Easy drinking session ale that doesn't invigorate the palate, but succeeds in being refreshing. Solid.

Thanks to Steasy66 for the trade. The pour is slightly hazy, medium gold color with a minimal off-white head. The aroma is negligible. Soft malts very little hops. The flavor is lightly bitter, some dryness that follows along to the finish. Medium bodied, well carbonated. Just not my style.

From the 5/2012 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled for a 16 oz can this beer poured an orange-caramel color with a medium sized foamy yellow-white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was piney and leathery with light notes of orange, bread and mushroom. The flavor was dryish, bitter and nutty with notes of orange and biscuit. Medium length dryish finish of orange and nut. Medium body though somewhat undercarbonated. Ok.

Can thanks to secret santa. Nearly brilliant golden to light amber pour with a large, fluffy, slightly off-white head. Toasty and bready malt aroma, lots of fruity esters, berries, currants, tea and marmalade. Citrusy, light husky, stone fruit and candied orange peel (hop) aromas. Light peanutshell huskiness. Flavors are malt forward, toasty, grainy, bready, just slightly husky. Tea and marmalade. A hint of citrus, light tropical fruits from both hops and esters. Medium bitterness, but just enough to balance. A solid mineral character. Medium carbonation, fuller body for such a light beer. No alcohol, very easy. Doesn’t feel very authentic, but it is very sessionable and tasty!

16 oz can from a trade with CLevar. Pours hazy burnt orange color with off white head. Tropical fruit aroma with some bready malts. Moderate bitterness with the warrior hops dominating. Light to medium body with average carbonation. Very nice. I could drink lots of this on hot summer days.. Thanks Caleb.

16oz can pours a totally transparent, burnt orange with a frothy, creamy, lacing white head. Nose is nose is malty, crackers, bread dough, some pitted fruits, some light pine. Flavor is a little on the watery side, malt, biscuits, orangina, iced tea, a little pine tar way at the end. Finish is watery and lightly sweet. It’s not bad, it’s just not interesting.

Can. Clear amber body with frothy, off-white head, mostly diminishing. Moderate aroma of caramel, toasted grain, herbs, earthiness. The flavor is lightly bitter and lightly sweet. It finishes lightly to moderately bitter and lightly sweet. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Dry, bitter finish. Muted caramel for an ESB. Instead, the taste is dominated by grain. Less refined than classic bitters. That aside, flavorful for a 4% beer. Easy drinking.

can, pours light amber with a tall frothy off white head. Aroma is nice and citrusy with lemon peel and orange. Wow, so good and at 4%, has tons of flavor. Soft pale malt sweetness, the oats are there as well with a nice fresh hop finish that ends dry with a nice piney hop note. This is a great session brew.

Can from allendodd. Purveyor of Surly to the needy masses. Thanks! Pours a slightly hazy amber with a frothy off-white head. Very floral aroma above some sweet lightly roasted caramel. Less than medium body. Sharpish carbonation. It’s so floral it’s perfumey. Very strong light stone fruit notes. Finishes with a rather citric bitter. Other than the body, I think it fits the style. Like it a lot.
