This non-traditional English bitter is light-bodied with a low ABV and rich malt character.
Brewed with lots of Golden Promise and Pale Ale malts with a touch of Oats and light hazy gold in color. Ultra crisp bitterness from Warrior hops, with Glacier hops adding the peach, orange and apricot aroma. We dry-hopped this one because...we like hops.

Can: Pours a orange copper color with a smaller white head. Aroma is malty and earthy, a bit of florals. Flavor is more malty than bitter, some caramel malt and fruitiness make the floral bitters a touch mellow. Nice wet sensation. This is not quite as bitter as expected, but still a pleasant summer ale. Thanks Tyler!

Can at Chris_o Pre GBBF Shindig 08. I love these Surly canned beers. Copper colour, lasting beige head. Lots of hops on aroma. Good leafy hop, but it doesn’t stand up in the mouth. Some toffee on the malts. Dies a bit after that good pink grapefruit aroma. Goes to show it takes a lot of skill to make a tasty lower ABV beer.

16 oz can from hellomynameis, Thanks a ton! Nose is very floral hops with an sweet apricot note; copper with a medium beige head; Flavor is hop bitterness with some lemony fruitiness and caramel malt; finish is lightly fruity and bitter.

Thanks to Rogueone for sharing a can. The beer pours a lustrous orange-gold color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus and earthy malt. Light-bodied with sweet citrus and peach flavors along with touches of malt and piney hops. The finish is fruity and malty and lingers. Proof positive that it is possible to make a flavorful and easy to drink low-ABV beer.

Courtesy theisti. Wow, I like the hop aroma on this one with a big citric fruity peachy nose. Dark bread shores up the back end. Hazy copper with a nice but small foamy head. Oh man, starts with a one-two punch of herbal tobacco leaf hops and earthy biscuity malts, all propped up with a big soft pillowy mouthfeel, with light airy carbonation. Crisp balanced finish, with a lingering tingle of spicy hop. There’s alot of hop complexity in this, and a nice malt backbone for being low alcohol. Altogether quite nice.

16 oz can brought down to KC from my Dad, via the assistance of tytoanderso at Zipps in Minneapolis, MN. Pour is hazy orange copper with a one inch tan head. Carbonation bubbles rise to the top. Very active looking beer. Nice lacing. Aroma of very fresh pine hops and floral. Really clean and fresh smelling. Taste reveals some nice smooth caramel biscuit maltiness that transitions into the fresh hoppiness towards the end. Finish has some nice mild burnt toast flavor. Palate is thin, clean and bordering on watery. Super nice session beer.

Pours clear deep gold with white head. It as a full aroma of crystal malts, floral perfume, sweet sugary strawberries and a bit of orange juice. The taste is much the same as the nose with floral hop bitterness then some crystal malt sweetness moving into sweet citrus hop notes. Nice brew that doesn’t seem to be a bitter due to its bold flavors that don’t burst the boundaries of the style by too much.
