Draft at a bar in Grote Markt, Den Haag. Clear golden pour with white bubbly head. Aroma has slight malt and hops and a similar flavor. One of the better Dutch pils.

Colour golden yellow, firm white head. Aroma malty and slightly sweet. Flavour rather sweet, malty with just a touch of hops bitterness. Rather OK brew, nothing really special but enjoyable on a night out with friends. (from draught)

Warning! Early amateur rating! Dark yellow lager. Smooth, light and crisp. A litte more malt depth than your average lager. Okay.

On tap at Bodegraven Hotel Tulip. Gold. That’s a bad beer. Full of corn. Stale malt on finish. Bad mass produced tasteless corn syrup.

Golden with a small white head. Aroma of malt and grain with herbal hops. Dry and grainy flavour with notes of vegetables and cardboard

(Draught at Café Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 1 Aug 2010) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, grassy nose with bread, hay, citrus and slightly grassy hops. Malty taste with notes of bread, a touch of citrus and slightly grassy hops in a fairly short finish. Light body, with some malt sweetness. Quite decent, considering it’s yet another generic pale lager.

Bottle. Rich, malty aroma with some nice saaz hops. Sweet, malty rich flavor with a touch of caramel. Bready, with a nice hop aroma and light bitterness. Tasty enough.

Can, as Hertog Jan Traditioneel Natuurzuiver Bier. Pours medium gold with a foamy white head. There’s noble hop aroma. Near medium body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is somewhat grainy, and there’s not a lot of hop. Some bitter in the finish. It’ will pass for pilsner, but with a low grade.

Bottle from friend in Holland, 2010-01-15 AR: Iron (from the cap)???(don’t think there is iron there!). AP: pilzner colored, high head that diminishing foam - stabilized at 1 cm F: Plane w.... something bad, a bit grainy texture.
