The Gravedigger - mroczny i czarny Russian Imperial Stout - król wszystkich piw. Niezwykle kompleksowy trunek oferujący aromat złożony z czekolady, świeżo palonej kawy oraz wyciszonej nuty szlachetnego alkoholu. Likierowa słodycz i pełnia zostały w nim obudowane mocną w cyfrach, ale przyjemną w ustach goryczką.

Bottle at home. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, dried dark fruit, cocoa, dark chocolate, notes of liquorice. Flavour is medium sweet with some nice roasty bitterness in the finish. Body is medium to full, smooth and a bit creamy. Lovely Impie Stout.

33 cl bottle @ @ NISBWG ’20. BBE 20.04.2017. Aroma has licorice and quite nothing else. Flavour has grapefruity and herbal hops, licorice. There’s even something pilsner-like, probably related to the hop profile? A hoppy IS.

On tap at BroPub, pours black with a small tan head. Nose brings out a bit of baby vomit on the nose, with roast and slight vanilla. Flavour is disgusting, with all sorts of infections going on here - there's butyric, phenolic and who knows what other kinds of notes. If this is characteristic to how this beer is, I'm astounded how this got such high ratings. Undrinkable - this shouldn't be sold.

Bottle. Pours cloudy nearly black with airy dark tan head. Clear aroma of roast and hops, with grainy and malty notes. Intense, bitter roasty and hoppy flavour with notes of coffee and touches of malt and yeast. Lingering, roasty aftertaste with coffeelike notes. A good, bitter European Imperial Stout.
