Draught from Del Ray Pizzeria. Orange amber pour, some citrus, a pretty decent juicy IPA nothing else too memorable here.

Month old can A: Poured clear pale gold with 1 of long lasting white froth that left sheets of lace. S: Tart citrus, cherry and berry aroma with a bit of bread. T: Follows the nose closely with tart fruity hops. Cherries and berries then floral and citrus notes ending with pine and wood. M: Full body with low to average carbonation and resinous finish. O: Nicely balanced and quite tasty though the woody aftertaste can be a bit much.

Clear copper and orange coloured body with a decent, two centimetre tall off-white head that fades relatively quickly. Aroma of bright citrus, resin, light pine, some grass and a good balance of malt makes this pretty nice in the nose. Medium-bodied; Strong rich malt flavours at first with a pleasant and fairly large hop bite with pine and resin the strongest flavours. Aftertaste shows a good sweetness from pineapple and apricots along with a dose of medicinal and astringent flavours and ending with the pure hop bitterness evident from the beginning. Overall, a nice and flavourful IPA with some good touches, but nothing really comparative to the true West Coast IPAs from you know, out West. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 03-May-2017 for US$2,49 sampled in front of the store, at home in Washington on 01-June-2017.
