A life worth living is full of discovery and we are reminded everywhere there is opportunity. All it takes is desire to seek out and find these things, these moments and everything in between. We brewed Lost and Found Abbey Ale to pay homage to the great monastic breweries of Belgium. Like us, we hope you’ll take the time to discover a beer that breathes aromas of figs, raisins and candied fruits. Please join us by raising your glass as we offer a toast to patience, perseverance, and all the things we have lost along the way and were somehow lucky enough to find once again.

Brown with a creamy white head. Mild caramel aroma, yeasty black bread. No sign at all of the raisins. No doubt it came a bit too cold out of the garage though. Left to warm up over the course of twenty minutes though a whole new beer emerges: full of toffee sweetness with raisins lingering at the finish. So many raisins that I don’t know how I missed them earlier. A very slight tartness at the end rounds it out. Medium bodied with a moderate to prickly carbonation. A subtle one. I like that.

750ml bottle. Fantastic, clear, brown-ish, dark ruby colour with average, thick, fluffy-creamy, mostly, lasting, moderately lacing, off-white to beige head. Minimally bready, dark malty and fruity aroma, notes of dried fruit, raisin, a touch of cherry and plum, ammonia overtones. Taste is slightly dry, fruity, minimally bready, toasty, malty, notes of dried fruit, raisin, a touch of plum and cherry, minimally soapy overtones. Smooth and soft palate, very fine carbonation. Very clean, superbly crafted, but neither overly tasty nor flavourful.
