Murky red with fine white head. Fine lacings on the side of the glass. Aroma and taste of rasperry. Sweetness from fruits. Medium live carbonation. Soft texture. Finish is a well balanced combination between sweetness & sourness. Pleasant & easy to drink! Great fruit beer from Het Anker!

(Bottle 33 cl) Unclear reddish brown with a creamy, vaguely reddish head leaving some laces. Markedly fresh and fruity. Medium body with thick accents of red berries and fruit. Extremely fruity and sweetish without ever being cloying - a light tartness keeps things in the balance. But there isn’t much beer over this, and the 6,5% ABV are scaringly well hidden - sort of alkopop style. Probably a good aperitif. 270106

Bottle. Slightly fruity/berry aroma. Dark red colour, hint of brown. Small stable creamy head. Very sweet flavour, fruity and berryish. Has a little aromatic hoppiness. Saftevand.

Clear copper color, short head. Aroma is a bit sour, caramel malty, fruity (strawberry and raspberry), bit metallic. Sweet fruity taste, bit watery, slightly malty, sweet sourness. Lacks body and complexity.

Bottled at Belgian Beer Weekend 2005, Brussels, Belgium
Lightly pink head. Hazy, red body. Nose of raspberries. Heavily sweet flavour. Too sweet for my tastebuds, but not dominating sweet.

Slight gushing to huge pinkish head; fully hazy cyclamen-red beer. Fruity, raspberry-ish aromas, pastry-like. Very sweet taste with a (dark??) malty underslung. There is some fruity tang, but not anywhere enough to speak about acidity. Fruitcake flavour. Rather well bodied, fruit-juice like texture, but there’s more around, of course. ’t Anker wanted to have its own oddity. Oh well, worse certainly exists. Seems to be extremely popular in the UK, I’m told.

Muddy amber color with red shades. Mellow aroma of fruit candies (mix of strawberry and cherry). Far from being a real beer, yet it’s somehow pleasant to drink, quite sweet and with some fruitness (cherry and strawberry, inverse order); but the arrière-goût is too strange (kernels bitterness…).

An unclear amber beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma is sweet with lots of raspberries and so is the flavor leading up to a dry end.

Bottled. Hazy nut brown, ridiculously firm head. Sweet raspberry aroma. Fruity and malty, really sweet. Ingredients inculude fruit juice, and it really reeks of raspberry jam. The flavour is attractive, but it’s too sweet and lemonade like.
