The Moinette Bio* is a top fermentation, blond beer with refermentation in the bottle.
It was created in 1990 and is, together with the Saison Dupont Bio*, one of the first two organic* beers.
The Moinette Bio* has the combination of malt aromas, fruitiness and fine hops.
It is very thirst-quenchening and strikes a fine balance between mellowness, fruitiness and bitterness.
The long refermentation in the bottle ends up in a very complex beer.
The production is being controlled by Certisys and has the label Biogarantie®.

Bottle. Almost clear deep golden liquid with small to medium white head. Aroma of white pepper, bread, earth, noble hops, flowers and biscuit. Taste is dry to light sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of bread, biscuit, white pepper and banana. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Ok but a bit too sweet.

A Saison from Dupont, so it’s very nice. Dry and grassy, yet fresh and tasty. Great beer.

750 ml bottle labeled as Dupont Foret. No date can be found anywhere on bottle. Tulip shows a pale gold with soapy head. Nose has spice, lemon zest and light funky yeast notes. The flavor is mildly funky Belgian yeast, lemon and a trace of honey. A note of something herbal. The finish has a light floral hop or flower note. Medium carbonation and medium mouthfeel. Lightly sweet, lightly floral and lightly funky. This is a classic saison and really enjoyable.

As ’Oelegems Titsenbier’... Nose and initial flavour aremalty and a bit sweet. Aftertaste is pleasantly bitter but overall it lacks real depth of flavour.

750 ml corked and caged green bottle, labeled as Foret. 2011 bottle. Pours hazy orange with a thick white head with excellent retention; leaves sheeting lacework after it recedes. Aroma is very lemony; also, citrus powder drink, a little funk, faint clove and earth. Taste starts out lightly sweet before a wave of bitterness wipes it out; finishes with a faint tartness. A noticeable alcohol presence makes itself known in the finish. Body seems a little thin; highly carbonated. Not bad.

Bottle at home. It pours cloudy gold with a medium white head. The nose is orange peel, juicy tangerine, straw, dough, light banana, spice and a touch of farmyard. The taste is zesty orange, pithy lemon, spice, dough, floral, green banana, subtle tartness and herbal notes with a long, dry finish. Medium body and spritzy carbonation. Well hidden alcohol. Good depth of flavour, yet remains very drinkable. A well crafted saison.
