Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from HOTM. Pours clear golden-brown with a small, creamy tan head. Medium sweet flavour with simple brown bread, toasted sugars, cola accents, low bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Sweet Flintshire, close to cloying, with more simple brown bread, brown sugar. Bit too sweet overall.

Bottle from HOTM. Deep chestnut brown colour with a pale tan head. Aroma and taste are malty and sweet. Smooth medium body.

Bottle from House of Trembling Madness York and drunk at home. Clear dark brown colour lasting beige head. Malty dunkel. Sweetish sugar brown sugar flavour. Malty. Bit too sweet for me. ok though.

Sehr, sehr süß. Karamalz, Traubensaft und Süßstoff. Kaum herbe Noten und die kommen am ehesten vom Alkohol. Im Mund recht weich und etwas klebrig. Irgendwie schon interessant, aber ich kann damit nicht viel anfangen. Tipp: Wenn man sich eine Goaßmaß (insbesondere eine herbe mit Weinbrand statt Kirschlikör) machen will und den Cola-Anteil zugunsten von Bier und Schnaps reduzieren will, ist dieses Bier vermutlich die Idealbesetzung. Obwohl der Alkoholgehalt deutlich nach oben geht bleibt es relativ süß.

330ml bottle. Clear, reddish brown colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Rather weak, sweet-ish, dark malty aroma, hints of malt lozenge, milk chocolate, caramel. Taste is artificially sweet, dark and caramel malty, hints of caramel and artificial sweetener, a touch of malt lozenge and milk chocolate; minimally watery passages. Monotonous and way too sweet.

Deep brown. Clear. Large beige head of good retention. Aroma: caramal malt, hay, toast, dried fruit. Similar taste. Sweet. Light to medium body. Low bitterness. Lacking balance.
