Rated at Penthouse Platinum Lounge - Pien Edition. Sweet and roasty with some old coffee notes, vanilla and cocoa notes, hints of nuts and chocolate

Small to medium, rather dense dark tan head over jet-black beer. Bit mineral, but mainly syrup sweet smelling, treacle, toffee, roast. Hints at caramelised apples and ditto pinebranch. Sweet (no, cloying sweetness), roast, mineral ashes, smoke-phenols vying for dominance and at best reaching an uneasy equilibrium. Roasted and sweetened nuts. Warming up, metalrust. Some alcoholwarmth, utterly chewy, viscous. I'm actually surprised I can find some peace with this stuff. Reading the ingredients almost made me put the bottle back. It's... OK? Just the idea is... nuts. Barmy. Loony. Wacky.

Bottle, 355 ml from Beerdome. Shared with Max and Miro B. Black with small beige head. Roasted malts, chocolate, some maple, coffee, moderate sweetness with nice roasted bitter finish. Smooth texture. Medium to full bodied.

Koffie, maple syrup, bourbon, prachtig in balans. Licht zurig, met lichte koffiekoekjesnasmaak.

Bottle shared at Sushi Circle. Thanks Joe. Pours a deep brown to black with a small off-white head that dissipates. Big roasty nose with smoked malt, coffee and cacao nib aromas. A bit thin on the palate with more smoked meat and chocolate malt with a punch of coffee and sweet maple syrup that lingers. Lingering smoke and maple. A bit thin, but I like the flavors.

Sample at Daily Growler Powell. Brown-black color with a medium tan head that recedes gradually to a film. Patchy lacing. Aroma of coffee, maple and smokey bacon. Full-bodied with flavors of smoked malt, maple bourbon, coffee and bacon. The finish is sweet and roasty with a coffee and maple aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Dark brown pour, not much foam. Nose has good roast and deep molasses, dusty with cocoa. some umami there as well. Taste is sweet and sour, acidic notes are strong, fruity and mixed with bitter chocolate and cocoa. Super tasty and I am actually liking this a lot.
