Bottle, bought at the brewery. Malt, apple and licorice flavor. Fairly low on aroma. Easy drinker, nice but not great. (5 2 6 3 12 = 2.8) Tap: deep golden color, hazy. Malty buttery aroma. Hoppy, dusty, slightly citric, buttery flavor. Firm grassy hopbitter finish. Medium to full bodied. Typical Franconian, though tasted in Amsterdam.

500ml Bottle - Amber with a foamy head. Dried fruit, caramel and rye bread in the aroma. Bready and slightly nutty taste with a moderate sweetness and notes of walnuts, toffee and dates.

7 3 7 3 14Draft at Muted Horn, Berlin. Clear golden amber with an off white head. Aroma of malt, toffee and caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap at the brewery. Clear, deep golden color with a low, fine head. Malty, nutty nose, some caramel, earthy. rich and bready malt flavor, nutty, not so sweet. Awesome malt character. SMooth, full, tasty.

Merkendorfer Hummel-Bräu Märzen, Flasche (50 cl) von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin-Wedding. - Schönes Rotgold, klar. - In der Nase mild brotig-nussiges Malz, schwaches Karamel und hintergründige Orangenschalenherbe. - Antrunk karamelmalzig-malzwürzig mit etwas Haselnuß und nicht zu knapper orangenschaliger Hopfenherbe. Tief malzig, nur wenig süß, zarte Honignote, ganz zart rauchig. Milder rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang feine fruchtige Hopfenherbe. - Schönes fränkisches Märzen mit unaufdringlicher aber doch aromatischer Hopfung über einem nur dezent süßen Malzkörper.

Tap. Clear copper color with eggshell head. Aroma is caramel, a bit earthy, juicy malts. Taste is juicy malts, caramel, a bit grassy. Oily mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Good!

0,5 l bottle from Bierzwerg, Greven. Clear red golden in the glass, one finger foamy off white head. Malt and a litte bit grain on the nose. Taste starts malty, with some sweetness, getting, more dry in the middle part with roasty elements. Spicy, herbs, green apples and malty bitterness in the background at the end. Okay.
