Sampled at De Gouden Leeuw, St Lieves Houtem. Seems dry at first, but a sweetish cane sugar flavor comes up. Just a bit alcoholic and acidic. . Hint of caramel. Not great, but certainly well drinkable in the late summer sun.

Clear dark blond beer, aery white head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: sweet, honey, bit yeasty, cheese, sweet malts, smells pretty aged already. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: carbon sour, bit of sugar, yeasty, honey, sweet malts, orange peel, Mandarin Napoleon, some cardboard. Aftertaste: sweet, orange peel, little bitter yeasty, some yoghurt, Madeira, cardboard, some cork. Has clearly aged for a while, despite still being 1 year before expiration date.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden colour with a big and slightly tanned foamy head. Sweet and slightly bready malty aroma with a distinctively oxidised Madeira-like touch, accompanied by a tinge of candied fruits. Moderately sweet flavour with a light level of sourness, medium bodied with a calm, if not flat carbonation. Bready (cara-)malty taste with notes of brioche and a lighter fruity touch; mildly sweet and slightly sourish fruity finish. Something different but I have to admit that I am not a fan of this brew. 05.VI.11
