Thnx to Roberto ( from White Pony ) Pours amber , good white foam . Smell is bitter, heavy malts, sweet . Taste has a bit of smokyness, but doable, even for me . Underneath than , there are some sweet malts . not as thick as expected . Little too much carbonation . Aftertaste is a bit too smoky for me ..

Flaske 0,33l. Lotto 125/12. BrewDog Bar Manchester 25 Jan 13. Mørk aprikosfarget. Uklar. Pent skum. Forsiktig røykaroma. Smaken har et gjennomgående røykpreg. Litt tørr ettersmak. Uvariert - men bra.

Bottle at the Chriso Snow Tasting, London - many thanks to Fergus for this beer! Pours cloudy auburn with a light, frothy off-white head. Tangy pale malts in the nose, light smoke. Light to medium sweet flavor with some Band-Aid character, faint caramel, mellow bread. Medium bodied with average to high carbonation. Fairly sweet to finish with dry caramel, restrained smokiness, light tangy berries. OK, but a bit disjointed.

330ml bottle, lotto 125/12, shared with Finn on a Friday eve at The BrewDog Bar in Manchester. Firm off-white head reduced to a patchy surface. Dark orange coloured body, muddy. Smell of succulent citrus fruits, earthy malts and candy sweetness. Fruity flavour of oranges mingled with spices and herbs with underlying hints of smoked malt. Smooth bittersweet ending. Soft in the mouth. Refreshing (25.01.2013).

Bottle at ChrisO Snow Tasting, thanks to mR_fr0g. It pours hazy deep amber with a medium off-white head. The nose is orange, mango, tangerine, spice, wood, alcohol, smoke and earth. The taste is caramel, wood, leather, orange, tangerine, mango, apricot, earth and charcoal with a dry, citric finish. Perhaps not the most balanced beer, but it’s interesting and pretty flavoursome.

Bottle at Chrisos tasting 20/01/2013. One of my ones. Clear orange amber, thin white head. Heather, toffee aroma with faint smoke. Flavour oats, toffee with more wood and smoke / charcoal. Bit of citrus finish. Palate is spritzy with a dry finish. A lot going on in this beer. A little muddled, but generally a very interesting beer.

Bottle at Chriso Snow Tasting, thanks to Fergus, 20/01/13. Hazed mid amber with a thin off white head that retains well. Nose carries light smoke, sugars, liqourice, wood. Taste follows, much more smoke, charred wood, dark malts, dark fruits. Medium bodied with bite, soft carbonation, smokey bitter finish. Decent.
