Appearance: Golden colour with a white head.
Aroma: Bread, caramel, malt, citrus, hay.
Body: Medium body and carbonation.
Flavour: Hops, malt, caramel, spices, bread, some alcohol.

Clear pale amber colour, large frothy white to off-white head, half-way lasting, light lacing. Fruity aroma, orange, tangerine, lemon, candy sugar, yeast. Taste is fruity light heavy sweet, with average duration. Light to medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, mild sweetbitter finish, light spicy notes. nothing special, pleasant.

330ml Bottle - Hazy golden with a foamy head. Grain, wort and honey in the aroma. Grain, porridge oats and honey can be detected in the bready taste. Interesting but I am not familiar enough with flax to discern it in this beer.

Bottle from Willems. Hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity and light yeasty. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Dry and light bitter finish. 261214

Derivative of Het Kapittel Blond, possibly even the same beer, something which requires further investigation. I never tasted them side by side so I have to limit myself here to a description of Vlasbier as such. Intended to accompany Vlaskaas, this has an off-white, sticky, thick and moussy head and a peach blonde colour, cloudy and becoming almost brownish with deposit (mostly dead yeast - the tasted sample was 5 years old). Fruity aroma, pineapple, orange, pear, lemon zest, honey, pepper, ginger and cardboard as a result of ageing. Soft fruity taste, slight citrus freshness but probably more so in a young sample, honeyish, slick malt sweetness, sourish accent, smooth finish with low hop bitterness and warming alcohol (a bit too apparent for a beer of 6.5% ABV); I assume the hops had deteriorated a bit after five years. Still enjoyable, though.

Bottle from the butchery . Apparently , made for the combo with the cheese ( Vlaskaas ) The beer itself is rather stale , common, blonde beer. Not imressed . For the curious , the cheese was likewise ..

Bottle from a gift. Blond colour, white foam. Medium carbonation. Aroma of grains, caramel and spices. Bit unbalanced. Sweet, light bitter aftertaste.

Clear, copper coloured. Sweet floral aroma, perhaps some honey. Flavour is also sweet with a touch of yeast. Slightly spicy. Generally sweet but fresh.

Orange im Glas, süßlich-milder Geruch. Der Antrunk ist aromatisch-frisch, leicht süßlich. Zum Hauptteil kommen typische Aromen eines hellen Tripel hinzu, dabei angenehm herb. Diese Herbe verstärkt sich im Nachgeschmack, die angenehm milde Süße harmoniert (fast) perfekt mit den anderen Aromen. Auf der Zunge bleibt eine angenehme, mild-weiche und feinherbe Tripel-Note zurück. --> leckeres Bier!
