Brewed in commemoration of the old cultivation of flax in the Leie region (so does not contain any flax). The label depicts a painting by Emile Claus.

Bottle from Beer Palais in Brugge. Pours dishwater gold with a foamy white head. Rather citric aroma. Flavor is sort of mild malt with light citrus. Mild flavors.

December 2007, from BA: Brown 33cl bottle, best before? Not sure, so drank both the bottles I had, this review is a combination of those beers. Poured into a Corsendonk tulip glass it has a small white head that soon sinks down into a scummy looking wisp. The body of the beer is an orange cloudy, light amber colour, not very appetizing really. The aroma was of sweet and sour fruits, pineapple and citrus together, with the sweeter smells winning the battle. Fruit juice with a kick, strange mix of flavours, couldn’t pick a true taste comparison, not unpleasant though. Fairly thin in the mouth, plenty of life but something missing in action. Didn’t really know what to make of this beer, I enjoyed the first one more than the second, which is unusual for me, as i said earlier, something missing for me.

Clear yellow colour with a firm but small head. Smells sweet like a hefeweizen, some banana notes. Tastes like banana, sweet and wort. Very bubbly beer.

Bottle @ home shared with DutchDrebus. Clear yellow color, large slightly lacing white head. Not much smell, just a little banana and somewhat like hefeweizen. Too sweet, way too sweet and too high carbonation. Medium body.

330ml bottle picked up at a fresh food store. Naked surface to a near-clear, golden body. Malt-fruity aroma. Sweet passion fruit in flavour mixed with caramel malts and wheat. Foamy in the mouth. Rather unvaried (hotel room, Brugge 05.05.2011).

Pours a clear blond and little pearling beer. Modest white and fine head. Smells like cheese, musty and moldy. Tastes like the smell indicates. A lot of carbon in the mouth. Somewhat tart-bitter instead of hop-bitter. Touches of unripe apricot. Maybe this would work with some cheese, but without it's like drinking your basement.
