Four Winters is our namesake beer and the one that will always be closest to our hearts and core mission as a blendery. It’s the culmination of sixteen seasons of intensely focused work. Four Winters is our magnum opus and is emblematic of the work we set out to do when filling our first barrel here in Madison back in 2014. Our blending methodology for Four Winters is unique when compared to our other beers. We taste through the cellar and select our favorite 6, 18, and 30 month-old spontaneous barrels for blending. We also look for the most promising 18 month-old barrels and earmark them for an additional year of aging so we lay the best possible foundation for the following year’s 30 month-old component.

Bottle shared with others. Pours a clear earthy gold with a white head that dissipates quickly and near completely. Aroma has dank stone fruit with a bit of tartness and some earthy funk supporting. Flavor has sour stone fruit and a good amount of funk with some oak and light grass in the finish.

Bottle shared at AmLam Tasting at Jimmy's. Pours a clearish orange with a full finger of white foam. Must and funk on the nose with horseblanket, hay and light peach and apricot as it warms. Palate shows lemon and stone fruit underneath more cobweb and musty horseblanket. Delcious!

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is strong funk, apple skin, citrus, oak. Thin body, similar flavors to nose, great funk, nice tartness, enjoyed this.
