Nice tart berry character, low acidity, fairly juicy, a vague suggestion of cocoa, nips of cherry. Quite easygoing.

Аромат шоколадки с вишней, приятный, не химозный, что важно, намеки на другие ягоды, типо смородины красной. Вкус такой же, умеренно сладкий, больше даже вишни чем шоколада, немного какао бобов. В целом интересно.

Panda at home, thanks to Sir Kenneth of Essex, 28/10/24. Light cherry red with a faded crimson cap that dissipates to the edge. Nose is cocoa powder, cherry tobacco, hay bale, lactic tang, vanilla essence. Taste comprises cherry stones, chocolate shavings, lactic spike, bitter sweet notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a modest puckering edge. Fun enough 'Linner but I'd like a little more sharpness/acidity injected into this one.

Can. Almost clear paleish cherry colour beer, tidy but short lived pink head. Light palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. I wasn't too sure about this one, sour chocolate anything is usually a mess in my book but here it's cherry this is the star, a very mildly tart morello cherry and the chocolate covering is white chocolate as far as I can tell. A pleasant combo. Light finish. Another light and very drinkable pastry sour from this brewery.

Can at home. Hazy deep rose colour with a white head. Aroma and taste are tart cherry and slight sweet chocolate. Rich body.

16oz can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, May 23. Thanks Simon for this! Misty reddish amber appearance, small off-white head. Coffee berry hints coming through on initial sip, not jumping out as cherry necessarily.. more mixed berry.. light sour tingle. It's ok, just a bit muddled, and not detecting the lactose or chocolate.

One of the better beers I've had in awhile, and its been awhile since I've had a good sour in particular. They just aren't that easy to come by, at least not without putting in some effort, which I don't really do any more. So this one was just given to me, and I'm glad because sometimes I'll scroll past beers on the shelf if they have too many weird ingredients. So this has a nice nose of both chocolate and cherry (almost thought raspberry when I first sniffed, then I re-calibrated). Flavor leans more heavily on the cherry tartness, mineral-like cherry pit notes, perhaps a light chocolatey-ness or other semi-sweet flavors balance it out, but mostly the whole profile is semi-dry, with a good level of tartness and a nice funky finish. Rubyish color, short lived head.

Very beautiful, ever so slightly hazy ruby and light brown coloured body with a thinnish, two centimetre tall off-white and tan head that fades fairly quickly, and leaves just about nothing above the very nice ruby tinted body. Aroma of malt, soap, light smoked and toasted grains with a light dose of caramelised sugars with a lot of lactose and earthiness, but more of an almond and light nuttiness, although the slightly soured and tart cherries seem to dominate, the malty and especially rustic nuttiness dominates really here in terms of overall presence, in the nose, at least. Medium-bodied; Strong complexity from the malts, the nuts and earthiness with a little dryness, but the soured and very tart cherry and even blackcurrant notes show through with a great balance, complexity and pungency for this, but still goes down very easily. Aftertaste shows some dry malts with the grain and maltiness with a light dose of almonds, cashews and walnuts (no peanuts here at all), but a lot more of the soured and tart fruits that make this very enjoyable throughout, especially for what typically is a too sweet and too soured beer - this blends nicely throughout, but without any real chocolate flavours aside from a small dose of milk chocolate at the beginning of the taste, but that fades quickly with the nuttiness in the body. Overall, this one surprised me in a nice way with way more complexity and balance than I was expecting, especially with a good kick of a tart fruit with these earthy and rustic qualities, but it is balanced in a way I haven't seen in a while. For someone who doesn't really like malty and nutty/chocolatey beers mixed with fruits, this one is great - period. Get it if you can find it regardless of what your favourite styles are, as this is a transcendent beer that works out nicely and complexly regardless of what you typically enjoy. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from ABC Fine Wines in Orlando (Lake Buena Vista), Florida on 01-January-2021 for US$5,00 sampled at my house here in Washington just over a year later on 24-January-2022.
