Dark brown colored, small non lasting beige head. Aroma is of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruits, light ripe fruit and alcohol. Taste is medium sweet chocolate, roasted coffee, dark fruits, burnt toast, dry roasted bitter finish, some alcohol. Medium+ bodied, soft carbonation. Only slightly tart and not really wild. (bottle, Winters Bierfestival Bierhalle Deconinck)

@ WBF 2015. Murky brown, beige foam. Medium carbonation, sweet with roasted malts and some caramel. Well balanced. Good.

28/11/2015 - 15cl sample from 75cl bottle @WBF2015, Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte - shared with tderoeck. Dark brown to black, no head. Malty nose, hints of bitter. Taste is mocha, chocolate, only light bitter from roast, nothing spontaneous to remark but I prefer this one over the breakfast one.

Sampled at Winterbierfestival (Vichte) 2015. Pours dark brown. Small white head. Smell is a bit sweet. Taste is mildly bitter, chocolatty, malty. Complex and intence. Very nice. No sourness to be found, even though it is fermentated spontaneously. I guess its a good thing though, I don’t love sour stouts. Perhaps this will turn sour later on ?
