Bottled and blended in late 2021, this batch of Bourbon Blammo finds itself with layers of tantalizing complexity. For the 2021 blend we brought together the following four components:30% Heaven Hill aged Stout (12 months), 30% Weller Reserve aged Stout (13 months), 30% Heaven Hill aged Barleywine (12 months), 10% Weller Reserve aged Double Barrel Stout (barrel 1: 10 months; barrel 2: 10 months). After combining these elements we then conditioned the base on over 40 lbs per barrel of organic toasted coconut. The result is the intersection of elegantly divine bourbon infused magic and rich coconut pastry decadence. Aromas of dulce de leche, German chocolate cake, high % cacao bar and spicy bourbon. Flavors of Baked Alaska, Central Coast cabernet, charred walnuts, espresso ice cream, Biscoff cookie, old fashioned donut, Kahlua, Vanilla Milk Maid Royals.

12oz bottle at share. Inky black pour, thick, some brown bubbles. Sweet, strong aroma, roasty, coconut, bourbon. Taste is roasty, sweet, boozy with some nice luscious coconut. Smooth and absolutely tasty.

Tap at Gourmet Haus. Pours black with minimal brown head. Very faint ring is retained. Aroma of chocolate and coconut. Flavor is massive sweetness, with bakers chocolate, dusted cocoa, coconut and vanilla. Sweetness is over powering here and is too much.

Draft. Black beer with a tan head. Bourbon and molasses aroma. Bourbon and coconut flavor with molasses and caramel. Fuller bodied. Bourbon and coconut linger with caramel, light molasses, and light chocolate.

Bottle thanks to Brian. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head. The aroma is strong coconut, fudge, bourbon, wood. Slick body, coconut, dark chocolate, roast, wood, nice sweetness, enjoyed this.

Tap. Pours opaque black, minimal head or lacing. Aroma is toasted coconut, vanilla, dark chocolate, hints of bourbon, more coconut, mounds bar. Flavor ia full sweet, light plus bitter, rich, loads of mounds, some heat. Full body, soft, but flat.
