Golden caramel malts lay down a base for a run of honey and earthy hops in this lager brewed for those who love all things winter.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to lager glass.
Appearance: amber color with a one finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: caramel/toffee malts up front, some stiff woody spices (just mostly seem muted), light earthiness, some char
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas together fairly nice to a mild malty sweetness; finishes malty and earthy
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; some smoothness but a light earthy grip on the tongue
Overall: I feel like there's something good supposed to be here but to be honest, it doesn't really reach it's potential, some polishing could be done and it might be a real gem

12 oz can from Total Wines and drank while in California on 10th March 2019. Amber body, copper hue to it, clear and clean looking, off-white crown. Malty molasses in the nose and taste, light spice and hop action in the flavours too. Not too sure it's a Winter brew though, lacks oomph and body for a fireside beer in a smoking jacket and slippers!

12oz can pours with a copper body that supports a thin tan head. The mild aroma offers up spicy yeast, faint sweet bread and ripe red apple. The taste delivers a mild yeasty spiciness, caramel malts, crystal malts, bready notes and a mild sweet maltiness.

12 oz can from a six pack. Aroma is dough, grain, toast, caramel, spice (a bit cinnamon-like). Pours hazy amber with a two finger bone white head with good retention. Taste is sweet, toasty, caramelly. A tad thin and watery, good carbonation. About as good as you want in this style. Not bad.

12oz bottle. Filtered amber-copper body. Thin, off-white head. Malt centered, not much a hop balance. Medium bodied, lighter than most amber lagers. The aroma is a little unappetizing, earthy and stale. Drinkable, but definitely wouldn’t want a sixpack.
