The big brother of Bavik Super Pils is a smoother drink because of its lower alcohol content. It is not surprising that this is the ideal thirst quencher after an excessive effort.

An orange beer with a white head. The aroma is slightly sour with notes of straw. The flavor is sweet and sour with notes of straw, while the body is thin.

A word about "Export" first. This disappearing style, used to be a variation on Pils. Usually less fermented (earlier pasteurisation) so the beer is sweeter and lower in ABV. But, in Belgium, the other main difference is that the beer is served in 33 cl, 'staid of the habitual 25 cl Pils. It has all but vanished, and most breweries today just fill 33cl of Pils. This is an exception. Dark gold; thick white, collapsing head, quite lacey. Herbal nose, even some hops - rest is predictably malty. Taste is sweet malt, clean & crisp. Faint corn taste. Slight slickness in mouthfeel, makes me think of corn again. Aftertaste gets more corn, as well as some sweet dough. As I said, apart from the hopnose, very predictable. It is very good in its style - but nowhere exciting.
