Power tasting at Matt's, bottle
Oily, black colour, no head. Aroma of boutique coffee, followed by the maple when it warms up. Good body strength, the mouthfeel is round and smooth, dark chocolate, some cacao, ashes; there's spirit, alcohol, maple, light vanilla. A bit sour and too boozy in the finish.
Very good.

Dark brown. No head. OK, so it's rich on the nose and has lots of maple and coffee. Quite powerful. On the palate, definitely rich and sticky. Soft coffee, light maple. Full body.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Black with minimal tan head. Lots of coffee and chocolate with light maple, fairly minimal bourbon. Quite nice.

750ml (thx, Tom B. for picking this up and keeping it for so long!) @ Matt's. Appearance: very dark brown with a weak dark beige head. Aroma: lots of coffee, some green peppers, noticeable maple syrup. Taste: very thick, lots of coffee and maple syrup, finishing with chocolate. Overall: pretty nicely integrated coffee, maple syrup, and chocolate with some complexity added by barrel-aging that is not very prominent here. Good one.

750mL bottle, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma is loaded with intense coffee upfront, followed by more subtle maple syrup, a little cocoa, and some bourbon barrel presence. Flavour expresses the different elements in a more balanced way; there's lots of coffee, maple syrup and cocoa, rounded out with by bourbon barrels. Nice blend of the maple syrup and coffee especially; the bourbon is more in the background, just adding some heat and warming effects. Very nice.

Bottle thanks to Anthony. Pours black with small tan head that lasts. The aroma is strong maple syrup, roast, bourbon, wood. Slick body, maple, vanilla, roast, cocoa, wood, boozy finish, very good.
