Extensively hopped and dry hopped with a big roster of hops – Simcoe, Centennial, Cascade, Ahtanum, Chinook, and Amarillo – it’s big, bright, and floral, with just enough malt to balance. This American-style I.P.A. stands head and shoulders above its hoppy brethren, blending pale and honey malts to balance the palate without interfering in your herbal reverie, and creating a new American classic.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Almost clear gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, semi dry, good fine carbonation. Light malts, nicely sweet. Aggressive hops, spicy. Light pine. Rich citrus and tropical fruits. More spice on the dry back end. Full on. Good shit, especially on cask.

16oz can pours out crisp clean golden topped with a white head. Nose is nice sweet citrus floral hops and some bread malts. Taste is more of the nice sweet grain citrus floral hops.

Can in NH. Gusher! It might be a little aged, to be fair. Pours clear honey-gold with a billowing, frothy white head. Not bad, some floral and piney hops, sun-kissed pale malts. Light bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Finishes with more bitter pine, citrus peel, Flora notes, crispy pale grains. Decent.

Keg at Draft House, Paddington, London. A golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, caramel, tropical fruit aroma. Tastes hoppy, citrus, caramel, tropical fruit. Not a bad effort.

Got in a trade with spelingchampeon. 12 ounce can into tulip glass, best before 9/8/2018. Pours slightly hazy deep golden/amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.5%. Overall this is an awesome IPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and pretty refreshing to drink with the moderately bitter/resinous/drying finish, not overly aggressive. Loved the classic Simcoe, Centennial, Cascade, Ahtanum, Chinook, and Amarillo profile as expected. Very juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; solid pale malt backbone, with no residual sweetness. A really enjoyable offering, awesome classic tasting west coast style.

Okay IPA, unexpectedly malt-forward with a heavy caramel-and-honey sweetness undermining any larger hop notes. Mild grapefruit and lemon add fruitiness to the firm malt base, while the back end grows more floral than piney--fitting, considering the name--with a lingering but manageable bitterness. Pours gold with a brief white head and modest lacing. Nose is a nothingburger. Barely there at all, really. Drinkable, but that's about it.

Sample at GABF 10/07/2017, thanks to my bro for assistance with note-taking. Slightly hazed orange-gold color with a medium bone white head that recedes steadily. Stringy lace. Aroma of floral hops, pine and malt. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, fruit and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a floral hop aftertaste. Above average overall.
