33 Acres and Our Mutual Friend sought to solve the international isolation issue utilizing the postal service and mailing the other brewery their favourite house saison culture. Here at 33, we made two versions; one using local malt and hops with OMF Brettanomyces and one with our house culture.
Separated by terroir, time and international borders, two saison-minded breweries can’t help but collaborate on something lovely. Brewing from a common recipe with malt and hops sourced regionally, OMF and 33 highlight the best agricultural ingredients grown nearest to each brewery.

Clearish gold with a rich white head. Stone fruit and some dirty funk. Soured and sweaty funk notes with some stone fruit. Funky and sweaty all the way through.

Poured from the tap (side-by-side with 33B version). Hazy gold with small white head. Brett, oak, funk, tartness, everything the 33B could have and should have been. Enjoyable.

On tap at 33 Acres, pours a hazy bright golden with a small white head — side-by-side with the 33A version. Aroma is less funky and aggressive than the 33A version — there's rustic saison yeast, light brett, and some mustiness. Flavour is much tarter than the other version, with light brett funk, gently tart citrus, and a touch of yogurty character. Softer mouthfeel on this version, with some nice bugs on the finish that blend with the citrus. Excellent — I enjoy this just as much as the other one, perhaps a touch more.

On tap at OMF. Pours a hazy yellow gold with medium head. The aroma is strong brett, oak, funk, lemon zest. Slick body, lemon zest, brett, light funk, nice tartness, enjoyed this.
