On tap at Beermongers. Pours a jet black color with a small white head. A huge bourbon nose. The flavor is huge sweet bourbon, vanilla, dark fruit, cocoa.

The beer is black with dark brown edges. Small light brown head, a bit fizzy. The aroma is big and fudgey. Moderate roast, big vanilla. Some nice sweet bourbon flavor but fairly mild spirit heat. Mild oak. Solid caramel base. The taste is sorta middle of the road barrel-aged imperial stout, but it’s all done very well. Big vanilla and chocolate. Fairly sweet. Satisfying flavor. Fairly thick. Good stuff.

Poured from a 500ml bottle. Aroma is full of dark chocolate and bourbon notes. Some lighter milk chocolate and roast notes. Some oak notes with some vanilla and coconut. Some light alcohol spice. Light dark fruit notes with raisin and prune. Pours black with a medium sized, thick, mocha head that recedes fairly quickly to the edges where a thin film lingers. No lacing and moderate legs. Flavor has a moderately strong sweetness with quite a bit of chocolate. Some light caramel notes with lots of dark chocolate as well as lighter milk chocolate. Light roast notes. Good vanilla notes with some light oak and almond notes. Medium bitterness with light alcohol spice. Medium light bourbon notes with some light notes of dark fruit like prune and raisin. Mouthfeel is full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty great adjunct-free stout. Great notes from the barrels. Good chocolate notes and some light roast. I like that the dark fruit notes are there, but not too strong.

Bottle. Pours black tan head. Nose/taste of red wine, oak, roast chocolate and coffee. Full body.

Bottle - Lots of rich nice dark chocolate notes. Deep jet brown with a decent brown head. Dark chocolate, nice rich mouth feel and a well balanced. Very nice.

Pours black, no real head , Smell is bit of green coffee, roasted malts , oak and bourbon. intense . Taste is intense, bourbon , oak . Bit bitter . Very nice indeed !
