I’m not getting all the negative comments. The nose is rum, brown sugar, spice and dried fruit. A big, slightly fuzzy light tan head on a rich brown body. Lots going on in the taste profile - bourbon, dried fruit, spiced rum, deep brown sugar or molasses, a nice banana/chocolate combo, some sourness and Belgian yeast. Warm and sweet. The fizzy effervescence froths it all up a bit. The best quads have a finer effervescence, so I don’t know if this is helping the taste or not. Will get even better with more aging. I wish I had another bottle.

Bottled. I agree with the turpentine crowd. It starts off fine with rum booze etc, is sweet the finishes like biting off a chunk of plywood mixed with Thompsons water seal. Not sure if this was intended.

(Bottle) Dark brown colour with foamy, beige head. Malty nose with rum, raisins, prunes, caramel, brown sugar, dried fruit, oak wood and a touch of mint. Malty, spicy taste with notes of caramel, dried fruit, raisins, prunes, brown sugar, rum, bourbon, vanilla, oak wood and a vinous, spicy finish with low bitterness. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Lots of interesting flavours, but a bit unbalanced and out of focus. Quite nice.

750 c&c from Dart at Stateline. Sad to see such a great style with such a low rating. Pours dark brown with a huge foamy tan head. Aroma seems to be rum/treacle. With the huge pillow that’s all I get. Not full bodied. It starts with a flavor I can’t place - not necessarily one I enjoy - but it moves on to a rather complicated thing that popped out cherry for me. Then rum. Treacle. Dark fruits. Leather and/or tobacco. Yet for all that it isn’t starting out super delicious. But it is a heavy complex thing with interesting flavors. Underrated IMHO.

Trevirke, fat, eik. Middels bitter, bourbon og eik i avslutningen.

Bottle at tasting. Dark brown pour. Nasty aroma of chemical bandaid and boozy jodium. Flavor is even worse, with stingy alcoholic medicinal bandaid and some iron. Really really bad. Drain pour, this is disgusting. Blech.
