Draft @ McNulty’s bier market in Cleveland! Mostly standard but extremely easy to drink. Clear gold thin head in the proper glassware. Aroma is mild yeast, wheat, fruity hints. Flavor is clean and simple. Mild yeasty presence with weak fruity esthers. Easy to drink, nothing wrong with it.

Helder geel bier met schuim. Smaak is minder dan de gewone Duvel, wel bitter maar minder uitgebalanceerd met sporen van appel. Blijft ook minder lang hangen.

Appearance: Light golden, clear. Tiny amount of fizzy, white head.
Aroma: Good fruit, flowers?
Taste: Lots of fruit, apple? Sweetness. Slightly watery. Good.

The ’small Duvel’, pasteurized, lighter version of the real thing. Golden blonde like its big brother with a frothy, snow white head; fruity, malt sweetness, grassy hops, smooth and sufficiently full mouthfeel. Not that bad but I never understood its purpose, why downtuning a great beer to a totally redundant, mediocre version to put against it??

250ml bottle grim Beers of Europe. Pours clear pale yellow, pillowy white head. Aromas of fresh cut pear, yeast, white bread. Taste is sweet, more apple notes than pear. Slightly acidic. Finishes a bit cloying, but not bad.

Keg @ The Font, Manchester. Pours clear light gold with large white head. Sweet fruity aroma. Taste is creamy, yeasty with spice and a bitter finish. Obviously more drinkable than standard Duvel and much more suited to a bar atmosphere.

Draught at Bishops Arms. Lovely, clear, deep golden colour with a white foam on top. Fruity aroma with grasses, a tart fruitiness, pale malts, spices and yeasts. Taste is light bitter. Medium body with an average carbonation. Finishes dry and fruity with a grassy bitterness. Good, but not as interesting as the regular Duvel or the hopped-up yearly versions.
