500ml Bottle, 4.4% ABV: badged as LION, Pride of the Cotswolds, Premium Pale Ale. BBD 19th Nov 2014. Drank on 23rd April 2014 (St Georges Day). Poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard. Clear light amber to bronze body with a huge foaming head of white bubbles. Semi-sweet fruity and floral aroma and taste. Slightly more maltiness than bittering hops. I liked it.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear medium amber with a broken bubbly white head. The aroma is weak malt. The flavour is light bitter with a watery malt light hop bitter palate. Light bodied with flat carbonation. Not overly impressed. No life and not a lot of flavour with a weak palate.

On Cask at Penistone Football Club - Golden, slightly hazy appearance, with a thick white head. Rather hoppy smell, slightly fruity taste and quite bitter finish. Quite nice.

Cask at The Fountain Inn, Gloucester. Lagery straw taste, very mild with faint glimpses of citrus hops. Not getting much else from this.

Gravity dispense at the CPFC beer festival, 2013. Gold pour with a white head. Marmalade, citrus aroma. Soft fruit action. Flavours of... looks like something in cuneiform script- damn my scrawl! Apart from the mystery flavour it also has a splash of caramel and citrus in there. Fresh tasting. Not bad.

Cask at th Black Lion - London. Poura clear, yellow-gold with a moderate, frothy white head. Nose carries a bit of lemon and tangerine, some doughy white bred. Light to medium sweet flavor with more doughy white bread malts, minimal bitterness, some hay, lemon rind. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Quite good condition. Sweet, simple and malty finish, white bread, mellow dough, hay. Basic but does tick the boxes.

Penderels Oak, Holborn 1 Nov 12. JDW Festivaløl. Gyldenbrun. Litt uklar. Nesten ikke skum. Aroma av trær & frukt. Smaken litt tørr med hint av svisker. Litt syrlig etter hvert.
