Originally a Special in 2006 under the name Cotswold Lion. Then became a May / June seasonal. Now regular.

Pride of the Cotswolds.

A perfectly balanced bronze beer, full of fruit flavours and aromas. Complex yet refreshing, Lion has a long, bittersweet finish

Draught at Cockney Pub. Frothy white fair mostly deminishing head. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Powerfull lime and citrus notes. Harsh bitter flavor. Heavy harsh bitter average finish. Oily palate. Not very good.

(Cask at Charlies Bar, Copenhagen) Poured pale golden and slightly hazy. Head was medium sized and white. Aroma was fruity and mildly citric. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, citricness, hops, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity and bitter.

Cask@Newark Beer Festival, 2009. Bright orange/golden beer with a lightly hopped and dry aroma. The flavour is mildly dry and slightly sour. Overall an average pale beer.

Bottled at Horsens Beerfestival. Pale golden with a small white head. Quite strong aroma of citrus. Flavor is refreshing fruity and hoppy with a dry, bitter finish. A really nice bitter.

Clear golden with medium off white head. Sweet and hoppy aroma with caramel notes. Flavor likewise with grapefruit notes. Ends bitter.

50 cL bottle. Pours almost clear and golden yellow with a lacing white head. Light citrus and pineapple fruity aroma. Flavour is dry hoppy with a mild fruity hops note. Light fruity finish with a growing bitterness. Nice dry and refreshing.

Bottle at home ... Golden orange with big faom head ... light fruit hop ... very bitter ... very hoppy bit not lie an IIPA a different hop much more drying... quite lagery in tone

Cask @ Charlieโ€™s Bar, Copenhagen. Unclear yellow orange color with a small fizzy fair lacing mostly diminishing off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, fruity, moderate hoppy flowers, citrus / lemon. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a average to long duration, leading to a light bitter finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Cask Charlieโ€™s pub, CPH: Clear gold with no head. Fruity hoppy floral and a sour edge that dominates the flavor. Watery body. Dry end!
