Hij is niet voor watjes. Maar als je bier zoekt met een bite, dan is de Piranha Tripel jouw favoriet. Dit zwaardere, hemels geurende bier is gebrouwen met mout, hop en een onweerstaanbare combinatie van zonrijpe mango, kumquat en een vleugje dieprode chili.

Bottle at BBT 2/2024. Thin body, medium carbonation. Medium sweetness, light bitterness, quite subtle warmth. Med-high phenolic spicy yeastiness, flowery, peppery. Moderate papaya-like exotic character, blends welll with the yeastiness. Overall feeling surprisingly soft, easy drinking. Quite good, even though trippel is not my favourite style.

BBT 02/2024. Golden color with white head.Aroma of biscuity, kumquat, zest, vanilla. Taste is sweet fruity with kumquat, tangerines, touch of Belgian yeast, light spices.

Bottle at BBT. Malty arom and taste, kumquat, belgian yeasty spicy notes, medium bitter. Medium body, malty spicy bitter finish with significant kumquat notes. Ok.

Bottle at home shared with Laura. Clear yellow golden color with a decent sized white to off-white head. Aroma and flavor are surprisingly fruity though in line with what's on the label. Pretty nice. Fruity, balanced sweet and softly bitter. I like this one. Well done.

Off-white head, fast reduced to rim over veiled orange-yellow beer. Slightly oppressive aroma with malts, other grains, herbs. Especially the latter are dominant, difficult to identify. Chamomille, orangezeste. Very yeast-dominated, rather raw yeastesters. Finish has Weizen features as clove, some banana. The orangezeste (probably the kumquat) is there again, reinforcing the Weizen idea. Toast; whilst in the aftertaste, gradually the chilli starts heating things up. To me this is a Weizen with too much burning feel. A tripel, hardly. And if people forgive me a tip. It is not because something works in a culinary context (in this instance, mango + chilli - eventually + kumquat), that adding those ingredients to a beer will be met with applause as well.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with stable white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with touches of flowers. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of yeast and malt, and touches of flowers. Bitter and estery aftertaste with malty touches. Reasonable.

Bottle 33 cl. Pors a hazy golden with a small, rough, white head. Spicy, yeasty, fruity nose. Rich, sweet fruity nose with a solid bitterness. Cannot really claim that the added fruits play a very prominent role. 240123
