Eigens für den Hofer Schlappentag wird traditionell nur einmal im Jahr das süffige Schlappenbier eingebraut. In streng limitierter Menge, damit es auch immer etwas Besonderes bleibt. Über Generationen wurde das Schlappenbier–Originalrezept von Braumeister zu Braumeister weitergegeben und gut gehütet. Unser Schlappenbier ist ein feinwürziges Starkbier mit 6,5% vol. Mit seinem kräftig abgerundeten Geschmack wird es für den Bierkenner zu einem echten Genusserlebnis und ist erhältlich Im Kasten 20 x 0,5 Liter oder im 30 Liter Keg Fass.

Optisch sattes Kupfergold, Schaum okay. In der Nase Getreide, erdig, Holz, leichte Süße, Alkohol, vielleicht ganz leicht Honig, okay.

Bottle. pale amber color. Bready, caramelly, floral aroma. Bready flavor, hint of roast, caramel, floral, grassy notes. Fairly well hopped.

Bottle. Fruity malty aroma, hay. Dark golden, offwhite lace. Deep fat malty, chewy, mellow, fruity, aromatic cake, grassy hops. Nice.

Scherdel Schlappenbier, Flasche (MHD: 2/17). - Goldbraun, klar. - In der Nase breite Malzsüße, Karamel, fuselige Noten und käsige Schweißnoten - ein sicheres Indiz für die Verwendung von billigem Hopfenextrakt. - Antrunk unangenehm breit süßlich-karamelmalzig mit plastikartiger Süße und platten, stumpfen Hopfen-Fehlaromen: Schweiß und schroff krautige Bittere. Breit fuselig. Zuviel Kohlensäure für ein derart starkes Bier. Im Abgang schroff krautige Hopfenherbe. Unangenehm derb-bitterer Nachtrunk. - Arg billig schmeckendes Starkbier; kein Ruhmesblatt für die Stadt Hof und ihr Schlappenfest. Angeblich streng limitiert - zum Glück! (15.9.2016: 1,9.) Neuverkostung: Flasche (50 cl) von REWE, Stadtsteinach. - Immer noch sehr derb-malzig und spritig, dennoch auf seine Weise charakterstark. Ein Festbier ist halt kein Gourmetbier ... (3.8.2021.)

Klares dunkel goldenes Bier mit einer geringen weißen schaumkrone. Geruch getreidig malzig, plörrig. Geschmack süß malzig, Getreide, kaum hopfig, würzig, naja!

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts strong, quite spicy, some woody notes. Finish more dry, a bit metallically and unbalanced. Okay.

Bottle. Deep golden colour with a white head. Aroma is fruit, herbs, malt, hop. Flavour is sweet, herbs, hop, malt, caramel. Medium body. Ordinary beer.

Bottle 500ml.Clear medium orange - amber yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, caramel, malt. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Bottle @ Fastelavnssmagning 2012, Ulfborg. Pours clear golden with a small off white head. A bit sweet. Grain, hay , bread and a whiff of caramel. Medium bodied. Fine.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear golden with a white head. Clean malty nose. Solid body with a massive base of pale malts and quite some sulphur. Both hops and alcohol in the finish. Clean and well made. 170212
