I think it’s rated lower because it’s not a knock-you-over huge beer. But what it lacks is being gigantic it makes up for in drinkability. Though it is by no means light, it is creamy and full and the flavours are all perfectly in balance. Online eBrowarium

500ml bottle. Jet black colour with slightly late awakening, average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, dark beige head. Sweet-ish, dark malty and slightly fruity aroma, notes of malt lozenge, caramel, hints of dried fruit, a touch of fig, date raisin, whiffs of milk chocolate, interludes of grain, spelt. Taste is roasty dark malty, sweet-ish caramel malty, slightly fruity, hints of malt lozenge, caramel, some milk chocolate, a touch of blueberry, fig, date, minimally metallic overtones, well hidden alcohol. Oily-creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, soft carbonation. Nose is closer to a Dunkel than a Porter, taste as well, though with more pronounced chocolately malty flavours. Somehow more brown than black, not as roasty as expected.
