Arthur (1922-2005) was our grandfather’s youngest brother; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his 13 siblings. In his honor, this Farmstead® ale is crafted from American malted barley, American and European hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. Unfiltered and naturally carbonated, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Arthur.

750ml bottle, at the March 2025 DCBeer share. Poured a deep, dark golden color with a big hoppy, pleasant herbal spice notes, plenty of yeast, light malts. Decent hop character! Flavor was some funk, with spices, yeast. Relatively solid.

Thanks ClarkVV on the 750 ml bottle share share! 2022 vintage. Aroma is straw, white bread, Cascade hops. Almost a white grape hint which I normally don’t get from cascade. Slightly tart finish. Wow, after all these years Hill can still impress!

750mL bottled 2022, drunk 10/19/24. Clear golden bronze. Small, white head, low-to-moderate retention. Juicy, hoppy, pnw laced nose with especially nice amount of Cascade in there. Mineral, biscuit, light lactic and moderate citrus lingering. Juicy, fruity, citric. A real delight.

Poured from 750mL bottle (conditioned since Oct 26, 2022). Hazy yellow gold with small white head. Soft HF funk, saison yeast, mild bittering cascade hops rounding everything out. Very nice.

Pale and slightly hazy, with a medium head. Floral, light orangey notes, good brett, lemony and fresh. Good body, feels bigger than 6%, that rich maltiness provides a platform for the brett, the fruitiness, and the citrusy hop notes.

750mL bottle, pours a lightly hazed golden with a medium white head. Aroma has some bittering dry hops, rustic saison yeast, and a touch of oak. Flavour is lightly tart, with lots of rustic saison yeast, gentle tart citrus, and light floral hopping. Rustic, lightly citrusy, and only gentle hopped. Excellent.
