Draught@HBF2015. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is caramel, grains, grass and some slight floral notes. Flavour is grassy, floral, wooden and slightly herbal.

Tap at Black Door. Copper, amber color, small white head. Aroma is berryish with light piney hops. Medium-bodied. Fruity hoppyness, some citrus and berryish vibe. Some old Ruosniemi house flavors maybe! Somewhat close to brewery’s other APAs so I wonder what beta is for.

(Draught at Bryggeri Helsinki, Helsinki, 30 March 2015) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of citrus, apricots, crystal malt and a touch of grapefruit. Malty, hoppy taste with grapefruit, orange peel, crystal malt and a generous citric bitterness in a dry finish. Medium body, quite dry. Slightly sharp malt character, but a fresh hop profile. Nice one.

Pours dark orange with a smooth head. Aroma of grassy hops, herbal notes, hay and caramely malts. Taste is a bit harsh, slightly herbal and grassy with some maltiness and grainy notes. Finish is sweetish, malty and herbal with some grassy notes. A bit unbalanced.

Tap @ Black Door. Deep amber, thick white head. Pine, herbal notes, caramel and some spices. Flavor has caramel sweetness, mild nutty notes, hops, grapefruit. Grapefruit bites in the finish. Not so good on its own.

Draught @ Pikkulintu. Aroma has toffee, resin and strawberries. Also some caramel malt tones. Flavour has strawberries, worty tones, toffee and slightly resiny malt. Finishes with grapefruit, menthol and odd plastic vibes. Feels a bit off - or then it is just me.

(Keg at Pikkulintu, 20150313) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had fruitiness, tangerine and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were pine, grass, malts, mild sweetness and medium bitterness. Afteraste was hoppy and bitter. A nice straight-forward hoppy pale ale.
