0.33 l can from 'Ace Drinks', best before April 2022. Clear, deep ruby with a very thin, almost stable, beige layer. Sweetish-malty, gently smoky-medicinal and slightly fruity aroma of molasses, raisins, peat and iodine. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, malty, quite smoky-medicinal and slightly fruity taste of molasses, raisins, prunes, whisky, peat, iodine and a touch of vanilla, followed by a long, moderately bitter, gently smoky-medicinal, slightly salty finish with just a touch of booze. Almost full-bodied, smooth and slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Well-balanced Barley Wine, maybe not overly deep but the barrel-aging went very well. Surely one of the better barrel projects but not fantastic.
