Draught@Bruuveri, Helsinki (backlog). Deep brown colour, mediumsized beigeish brown foamy head, that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malts, some ashes as well as some mild anise. Flavour is rather similar, but has a rather big ashyness in the finish and aftertaste.

Dark brown color, steady beige head. Strong anise aroma, some toasted notes. Medium-bodied. Strong anise, cocoa, chocolate and toasted finish. Interesting anisez and toasted flavor. Personal.

Tap @ St.Urho´s. Poured black with a beige, lasting head. Aroma was barbeque sauce, anise and roasted malt. Flavor was pretty much the same, along with hops and some liquirice notes. Very strange, the BBQ didn´t do it for me. Light to medium bodied.

Draught @ Bruuveri

Pours dark brown, almost black with a tiny brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee and some anise. Taste is quite spicy with notes of roasted malts, anise and hops. Bitter and roasty but refreshing finish thanks to anise notes. Okay, quite well balanced porter with a nice twist.

(Draught at St. Urho’s Pub’s Portteripäivät 2012, 20120215) The beer poured almost black. Its head was medium sized, dense and lightly brown. Aroma had hops, aniseed, pine and roasted malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were hops, liquorice, aniseed, pine, roasted malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, roasty and bitter. Not an ordinary porter (or similar) but I liked.
