Aromas are malt, wet and dry grain with a little grass. Flavors are similar to nose. More sweet than bitter with okay carbonation. Bittersweet finish. Pretty okay.

50 cl can. Clear golden colour with a medium-sized white head. Sweet aroma with pale malts, grasses, bread, herbal hoppy notes. The taste is light sweet. Medium body, soft carbonation. Drying finish with lingering pale malts. Fine Helles, soft and smooth.

[50cl bottle from Sainsbury’s.] A straw coloured pour with a thick white head and very fine carbonation; fresh grassy aroma with a little bitterness; smooth and grainy in the mouth with a crisp bitterness; and a lingering finish. A rather good Helles, not too sweet.

Bottle. Sainsbongo’s. Clear pale gold. Slim white foam. Well it’s not like you’re gonna get something out of the ordinary. Solid Helles here. Clean and tasty. Floral maybe. Drinks great. The head could have lasted longer but other than that. Nicely bitter finish.

A World Cup Of Beers#24. GERMANY. An international brew with the football and for this golden and heavy carbonated pour I've dug-out my seldom-used Erdinger glass as it seemed appropriate to use even though the style I am putting into it is not what it was made for. The helles I put into it is fair, not quite as stated as I might have expected but no less drinkable. Lots of lager malt, yeasts, dough, combining to give it a slightly spiced blast. Drank whilst watching the WC game involving a current host nation and the next one - Canada vs Morocco.
