Bottle picked up from REWE Getränkemarkt, Zolling and consumed at home Thursday 15th December 2022 listen to Steve Lamaq on 6Music and about to cook Chorizo Meatballs with Fettuccini. Pours clear gold with a large white head. Taste is bang on for the style if a tad on the sweet side. A little cereal, really soft, in fact very soft moutheel, as you might expect any hops and bitterness are subtle. Enjoying this though.

Optisch hell goldgelb und klar. Massenhaft steigt feine Perlage sehr langsam nach oben. Das macht schon ein interessantes Bild. Die weiße, feinporige Schaumkrone zeigt sich von einer flaumig-stabilen und gut haltbaren Seite. Die Olfaktorik gibt sich sehr typisch, leicht süßlich, hefig, zartwürzig und erinnert ein wenig an Getreide und Marshmallows. Der Antrunk kommt sehr weich und fein spritzig mit einer leicht süßlichen Malzaromatik, wirkt aber etwas dünn. Am Gaumen ebenfalls eher dünn von der Aromatik, aber dennoch durchaus angenehm mit leichter Süße, leicht getreidem Malz und einem zart hefigem bis fruchtigem Unterton. Aromatisch nicht unbedingt ein Heuler, aber auch nicht wirklich schlecht. Mundgefühl und Süffigkeit sind dabei ganz okay. Im Nachtrunk hallt die Aromatik vom Gaumen noch gut nach und erst nach einer Weile vernimmt man eine leicht trockene Hopfenaromatik. Fazit: Auch wenn es deutlich bessere bayerische Helle gibt, ist dieses hier absolut okay.

Heieiei, in Nase und Trunk ganz schön plädderich, fast muffig. Dazu etwas Getreide. Schmeckt sehr unrund und künstlich.

On tap @ Lord Byron Pub. Aroma is grainy, grassy, slightly citrusy and floral. Pours clear golden color with thick creamy white head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts medium sweet bready and dusty, following is herbal and citrusy, mouthfeel is quite smooth, while finish is pretty bitter. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Could have been better…

500ml bottle, drank on a bench by the Mosel in Cochem on 8th September 2022. Clean and clear light golden body, white head. Just a regular Helles really, refreshing and thirst quenching without testing your senses too greatly.
